The Future of Venom Video Games: A Possibility in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Could Do What the First Game Could for Miles Morales
Marvel’s Spider-Man helped to create Miles Morales’ story and led him to his sequel. Venom is the sequel.
Fans are anxiously waiting to learn more about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. A look back on the first game might give them an idea of what they can expect. One thing that was unique about the first game was its ability to let players take control of other characters than Peter Parker. Miles Morales became one of these characters and was given his spinoff that helped bridge between Marvel’s Spider-Man and their sequel. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 could easily accomplish the same thing as Venom.
The trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 reveals that Venom will play a major role in the game. Venom’s history is long in comics and films. He has been a hero in many other games and films. As the first video game demonstrated, players are not bound to play as Peter. So, the game may allow players to take a look at Eddie Brock’s view.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Can Echo Miles’ Travel With Eddie Brock
Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles is introduced to the campaign rally at which Jefferson Davis, Miles’ father, is killed in a terrorist attack. Miles is a player’s choice. He can play as a stealthy character and interact with Peter Parker. Marvel Spider-Man‘s story tells the story of Miles, who gains his spider powers. It also sets the stage for the spinoff Spider-Man. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 could easily perform the same thing for Eddie throughout the course of the game.
Eddie Brock may be seen as a villain from the beginning but his motives for fighting Spider-Man often are more personal than political. Venom will often sacrifice his differences to join Spider-Man and defeat a bigger threat like Carnage. The game may depict Eddie’s rise from villain to antihero as well as Miles’ transformation to become a superhero. You could play Venom during some of the games.
Venom Was a Playable Character In Past Spider-Man Games
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will not be the first Spider-Man game to give players the opportunity to control Venom. In 2005 Ultimate Spider-Man broke down the story along with the gameplay between Peter Parker & Eddie Brock. Venom, who started as a bad guy in the game, slowly makes his way to being a hero. Spider-Man Friend or foe allowed players to control Venom (and other Spidey villains) in co-op modes, provided they had previously defeated them in boss combats. Venom can also be found in other Marvel video games.
Venom, aside from the Spider-Mangames has also been playable within Marvel titles like Marvel Ultimate Alliance. is expected to be playable soon in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Venom, one of the most beloved Spider-Man villains and Marvel Anti-Heroes, makes this possible. Venom fans would jump at the chance of playing an entire spinoff. Insomniac may be looking to develop more games in Marvel’s Spider-Man universe. Venom would make a good choice.
