Long-Ignored Crocodile Card Players in Shazam! Movie Finally Given Their Own Story Arc

Shazam! Shazam! David F. Sandberg created a prequel film that features the actors in Shazam.

The crocodile men briefly mentioned by 2019’s Smash! have received a spinoff tale that shows them trying to conquer the Rock of Eternity.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods Special Shazamily Matters #1: Written by the cast of the DC Film, the anthology one-shot Shazamily Matters #1 features the reptilian ogre in “Crocodile Catastrophe,” a story that was written by the Shazam! director. Scott Kolins wrote and illustrated the films. In the story, the Shazam Familie’s game of tag in the Rock of Eternity gets abruptly interrupted. The crocodiles then break free and cause sorcerous havoc.

The crocodilian reign o terror escalates when reptiles use magical scepters, which devolve lightning-powered heroes. This turns them into raging Simians. The Shazam Familiy’s patron, Wizard intervenes. His magic is used to make the most powerful crocodile priestess emerge. The Shazam Family is transformed by the priestess who realizes violence is not the answer.

Who Are The Crocodile Men In Shazam

The three Crocodiles (a reference to anthropomorphized Reptiles Captain Marvel fought) first appeared after Shazam. When Billy Batson and the rest of his family explored the Rock of Eternity. Each door leads to another world. One door, however, led to a place where a trio of crocodiles dressed in suits sat down at a Poker table. Shazam! Fury of the Gods #1: Shazamily, Matters #1 reveals the plotting of these “gentle crocs” to invade the world. They had also gathered the magical artifacts that would allow them to go through the other side of the entrance.
