Shazam! In Shazam! Billy, however, is not able to fight the Daughters of Atlas even when he turns into his magical form played by Zachary Levi. They’re trying to reclaim magic, de-power Billy and his siblings, and rebuild Shazam’s staff.
Billy lacks confidence without the Marvel Family. He is helped by Helen Mirren and Rachel Ziegler. Anthea, the torn Anthea, turns against Lucy Liu’s Kalypso. It leads to a shocking conclusion filled with death that confuses the future of DC Universe movies.

Shazam! 2 Kills Kalypso And Billy
Billy convinces Hespera of lowering the shield about Philly, and then boxed Kalypso as well as her dragon in. Shazam’s staff was then stolen by Billy and used as an electric explosive. Kalypso is killed with her dragon. Hespera and other planet-destroying monsters are also taken. The explosion destroys Billy and leaves him mortal at the Philly ballpark. It’s a tragic ending, and it’s similar to Batman: Dawn of Justice’s battle against Doomsday.
It also teaches the Marvel Family — who’ve revealed the truth to their parents about how their powers work — how important family is. He wants them to be together, despite their abandonment issues. He didn’t understand why his parents abandoned him so he felt that they should be together. He also wanted to give up school and jobs in order not to hurt their feelings. Even though the siblings thought it was silly they realized how Freddy was left hurting after his parents abandoned him.

Shazam! 2 Resurrects Billy; Raises a DCU-Question
The family buries Billy. It would have made for a very sad end, but it fits in the new DCU movie slate where Peter Safran was able to seem to move on from the character. Shazam isn’t mentioned in any upcoming movies, but creative waters get muddy after Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman comes. She’s the last of the gods, so she reboots her staff, allowing it to resurrect Billy. After he strikes up a relationship with her, she smiles as she goes. This leaves him captivated by her crush and Justice League goals.
Anthea, Freddy’s daughter on Earth, is busy rebuilding her kingdom. Shazam, on the other hand, gets a makeover. He travels around the world with his team to learn more about the people. This ending teases the possibility of a sequel, particularly since the household is still as united as ever. The details of what the directives were after DC’s changes are still unclear. This is because Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gadot’s Diana of Themyscira, and Dwayne J. Johnson’s Black Adam all seemed to have been canned.

It is likely that fans will be left wondering if Billy will ever be part of Gunn’s vision. Particularly since there are supernatural films like Swamp Thing as well as Creaturecommandos. this might be an abrupt ending to Billy’s story. However, the Fury of the Gods posts-credits scenes tease at a possible team-up and only add to the character’s uncertainty.
