Ash and Pikachu’s 25-Year Journey Comes to an End in Pokémon Anime
Ash makes a significant commitment to his best friend Pikachu in the trailer for the Pokemon partners’ last episode.
Get some tissues ready: Ash will hang up his cap next week to mark the conclusion of a long and epic journey for Pokemon‘s most beloved duo.

Daily Dose of Anime reminded its fans via its Facebook page that Ash & Pikachu’s last episode will be aired in Japan on March 24, 2019. Fans have been waiting to watch the final episode of Ash and Pikachu since December 2022 when news broke of Ash and Pikachu’s last adventure.

In the preview for Episode 11 of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys The Series, Ash reminisces how he has always dreamed of becoming a Pokemon Master since he first met Pikachu. In the final episode, Ash is shown reunited with his Pokemon pals Bulbasaur and Charizard. Ash also gets to meet his former adversary Gary Oak. While there are still plenty of Pokemon around the world that he hasn’t had a chance to meet and interact with, he’s excited about meeting more people and making new friends. Anipoke Fandom pointed out one touching change: At the end of the trailer, instead of saying to the audience, “Everyone, go out and take a look at Pokemon,” Ash promises his best friend, ” Pikachu, we’ll stay together for the rest of our lives.”
Pokemon Reunited Ash With Old Friends Before His Farewell
The episodes leading to the final episode of Ash’s Pikachu and Misty’s journey Pikachu, Pokemon Ultimate Adventures took viewers on a nostalgic journey. Misty and Brock, who were first travel companions of Ash, returned. Ash also met his old Pokemon friends such as Lapras and Butterfree, whom he caught at the beginning of Season 1 only to let go, making for many heartbreaking reunions.

Following Ash and Pikachu’s departure, Liko will be the center of attention as the new protagonist. Liko is not only a “weeping pendant,” but she also has a powerful personality. Her companion Roy is a mystery Poke Ball and aims to take on the legendary Pokemon from the legends. They will be joined by Friede and Captain Pikachu when they begin their adventures. The new series airs on April 14th in Japan.
The last episode of Ash and Pikachu, “The Rainbow and the Pokemon Master!” airs in Japan on March 24, 2010.
